Mitigation Technician

Position
Summary:
The position of the Mitigation Technician is a combination position requiring a thorough understanding and performance of emergency disaster services such as; water damage mitigation, smoke damage mitigation, mold remediation, carpet cleaning and other mitigation services offered.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
o Entering private residences and commercial dwellings in order to perform emergency and environmental services.
o Perform category 1, 2 & 3 water damage mitigation, smoke odor & fire damage clean up, as well as mold remediation per IICRC S-500 & S-520 standards and as specified by Southeast Restoration (SRG).
o Working in tight or confined spaces, hot & cold spaces, and working on scaffolds.
o Frequent stooping & lifting up to 75 lbs safely.
o Wearing Personal Protective Equipment as recommended by product manufacturers, IICRC S-500 & S-520 standards as well as per specified by SRG.
o Completion of SRG's daily job documentation paperwork.
o Proper use & responsibility of drying equipment, hand & power tools.
o Proper use & responsibility of moisture reading equipment.
o Re-stocking of trucks daily.
o Upkeep of trucks.
o Upkeep of warehouse daily.
o Provide exceptional customer service.
o Assist in customer's education of process.
o Procuring authorization of required SRG forms.
o Daily communication with SRG team.
o Working with urgency while always working safely.
o Operating company vehicles.
o Attending training classes as needed.
o After hours work and routine on call status.
o Professional appearance and demeanor.


Working Relationships and Scope
o Maintain timely and effective communication and flow of information with Lead Technicians, Supervisors or Managers

Qualifications - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
o Education and Experience
High school (or GED) diploma.
o Mathematical skills
Adequate math skills. Ability to apply learned techniques to determine appropriate equipment type and number of units.
o Computer skills
Demonstrates basic proficiency in the use of computers, email and portable devices used to report and record daily activity.
o Certificates, Licenses and Registrations
Certification in performing appropriate services: Water Mitigation, Mold, etc.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
